When life gives you lemons, give back!

Lemon-Aid is a Labor Day Weekend city-wide fundraiser originally held from 1994 to 2000, where kids across Tulsa donated their time to sell lemonade. All funds raised directly benefited the children and families at the Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless. Over the course of seven Labor Day Weekends, with the help of more than 10,000 youth volunteers, Lemon-Aid raised more than $350,000!

While Lemon-Aid has continued to live in the hearts and minds of Tulsans of all ages since its inception in 1994, the actual fundraising efforts of the traditional Labor Day festivities took an extended pause... until now. The founder and chair, who created the original Lemon-Aid at age 10 with her sisters and brother, had to grow up.

But now that she has her own business and a growing family of her own, it is time to bring the tradition back to Tulsa – and the world – with a twist.

Justin Thompson Restaurants has partnered up to help! This year, from August 27th - September 4th, each JTR restaurant will be featuring a specialty lemonade-themed cocktail and our bakery, Farrell, will feature a lemon crinkle cookie for purchase with proceeds donated back to the Lemon-Aid Project!
